Capitol Center Theatre
From the day it opened in 1914 as a vaudeville showplace, to its later transformation as a movie theatre, the West Virginia Capitol Theatre has starred as one of Charleston's leading entertainment attractions. It was restored and reopened as the Capitol Center in 1984. This magnificent historical landmark continues to provide a wide variety of entertainment as part of West Virginia State University. West Virginia Public Radio's live two-hour arts performance show is hosted on Sundays at 6:00 pm at the Cultural Center Theater in the State Capitol Complex, with approximately 26 shows taped per year. The show features nationally and internationally recognized musicians. Mountain Stage is one of the most popular programs offered to Public Radio International's member stations and is heard on 130 PRI stations nationwide.

Mountaineer Opry House
The Mountaineer Opry House in Milton, WV, is the local hot spot for traditional Bluegrass Music in a family-friendly setting. Shows are held most Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. Located at the Milton exit of I-64 10 minutes east of Huntington or 20 minutes west of Charleston.

State Capitol Complex
The Cultural Center is open Monday through Thursday 9 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday 9 am to 6 pm; Sunday 12 to 6 pm. The West Virginia Archives is open Monday to Thursday 9 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday 9 am to 6 pm. Closed on state holidays.
