Lisa Pegher, percussion
Lisa Pegher is known for pioneering percussion as a solo instrument within the orchestral realm and beyond. New York City’s The Glass once described her as “More than just a drummer—an alchemist of time, sound, and space, crafting visceral landscapes that penetrate the earsand mind.” Pegher will perform Richard Danielpour’s “The Wounded Healer” Percussion Concerto, which he wrote especially for her, with the WVSO in November.
