Located on Capitol Street in beautiful downtown Charleston, WV, Taylor Books is an independent bookstore, coffee shop, café, and art gallery. Opened by Ann Saville in 1995, Taylor Books has become a landmark and must-visit destination. We invite you to take advantage of our broad selection of books, wide variety of hard-to-find magazines and unique collection of cards and gifts. Come by the cafe to enjoy a scone or a cup of coffee and take advantage of our FREE WI-FI.
Each Friday and Saturday, Taylor Books promotes Local and Area Musicians as well as Traveling Musicians, with a 2 hour feature session at their store. Come down and join in for a great evening of Music and explore the store while you are at it. It’s a great place to find local and eclectic authors, as well as seeing various items of art in the Annex.
On Sunday, June 25 – take part in celebrating all of our favorite downtown morning stops with the Charleston Brunch Walk and stop in to our store to enjoy some coffee, a pastry, and music provided by Lester Hirsh!
