Opener: GypsyRhythm
GypsyRhythm formed in the fall of 2012 as a belly dancing duo, eventually branching out into live music and adding a percussionist to the group. Our members are… multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. We began performing by going to open mics and performing original belly dance choreography and playing a new genre of music, with both cover songs and original works and by performing with some local artists and projects. Soon we booked several shows in Charleston at The Boulevard Tavern, The Empty Glass, Third Eye Cabaret, and Nomadic Tribes Collective, along with upcoming appearances at Roni’s Pizza Bar and More, and on 88.1 FM for a live radio interview on WTSQ’s Musicians Edition. We currently host open mic at The Empty Glass every third Monday night of the month.
