The ‘Tartan Ball’ a long held Highlanders function is open to the public. Enjoy a great dinner, Riverdance Performance Dancing, and great music. Tickets in advance by Feb. 23rd.
– Dan Carney (Fiddle) and Garrett Maner ( Accordion/Flute) will provide gathering music of Irish and Scottish traditional dance music. Senior members of The Mountain Dance troupe will click a heel with some performance dance routines.
– 7pm, The Welcome, Invocation and Posting of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance led by the Highlanders Colonel -in-Chief.
– The traditional ‘toast tae the haggis’ will be enacted.
– Dinner prepared by Beni Kedem Chef’s Club will either be Prime Rib or Chicken, vegetarian entrée also avaialable. Everyone is encouraged to sample the haggis.
– Performance by the The Beni Kedem Highlanders Bagpipe Band
– Parade of Tartans’. Everyone who is wearing a tartan/plaid is invited to share the name and history.
– Mountain Dance will perform more traditional Scottish Dances – Sword, and Irish Step Dance.
– Becky Bare will sing some great Irish and Scottish ballads.
– Traditional Scottish or Irish Waltz and and easy to learn ‘ceili group’ dance.
– The evening concludes with music and dancing to Randy Damron DJ
