The Art Store is pleased to present: Stonewall Jackson Middle School Pop-Up Gallery. The mini-exhibition celebrates young, local talent and will fundraise for the visual art department at Stonewall. The event will emerge for June’s FestivAll ArtWalk, Thursday, June 22, 2017, downtown, from 5-8 PM. The Pop-Up Gallery event will run through the weekend, closing on Saturday, June 24, 2017.
The Pop-Up Gallery will feature a diverse range of engaging and whimsical young artists work for purchase in various media from paint and pastel to collage and clay. All proceeds and donations from the Pop-Up Gallery event will go to Stonewall. This event will help the visual arts program at Stonewall to purchase art supplies, resources and learning materials for the outstanding local students in our community for the upcoming 2017/2018 school year.
Stonewall’s visual art department recently won the honor of Middle School Grand Champion in Kanawha County Schools Art Competition, taking home sixteen awards in various art media. To encourage the celebration of young, local talent, The Art Store will be offering 10% off framing for any young artist work purchased during the Pop-Up Gallery event.
In the remainder of the Gallery, The Art Store will continue to exhibit the solo show, Larry Leach: Sublime Light until June 30, 2017. Our upcoming exhibition for the summer season, Shades of Summer, will feature artworks by all our represented artists, on view from July 8 until August 31.
