The Kanawha County Public Library is the largest public library system in West Virginia. They have nearly 100,000 card holders, and while the vast majority of our library system patrons are from Kanawha and Putnam Counties, residents from all 55 West Virginia counties are represented in the cardholder database.

While not a branch of the Kanawha County Library System, the South Charleston Public Library, nevertheless, is a sister library that can provide the same level of services as the county systems. They can also do Inter Library Loans with the County system and many others.
